There is a precept school in the monastic teaching center. In the precept school, a vinaya master teaches vinaya pitaka and adivises on vinaya practice. Students of the precept school graduated from the lecture school or consist of people among senior monks having practiced for

a long time who can interpret the vinaya. Hence, they are educated with almost self-teaching and discussion except the lecture on special textbooks so that qualification is strictly restricted.

A precept school is a temple the vinaya master stays at and is called a precept temple. Compared with Zen center and lecture school, it represents a temple providing the special education of code of conducts and precept of vinaya pitaka. Monk Yookjo said,ˇ± Simjimoobijaseonggye means that if you don't suffer from a guilty conscience, that is just the code of conduct of one's self nature.ˇ± so that he also means that if you don't feel sorry in your mind, you are not doing something wrong against Buddha's wishes. Moreover, as he said, ˇ°Zen is the Buddha's mind, the doctrine is the Buddha's teaching, and the precept is the Buddha's conduct. If a monk is prudent, Dharma is profound, and if a monk is imprudent, Buddha is frivolous,ˇ± Sangha doesn't exist without Zen, teaching, and doctrine so that the fact that the code of conducts and precept are the span of life is emphasized.

Sangha cannot come into existence without life observing the code of conducts so that a precept school professionally learns and studies the precept, the loftiest and purest conduct and succeeds to the life of wisdom of Buddha's and late masters' with the code of conducts and precept considered as a teacher.

There are two precept schools in Korea such as Songgwang-sa in Jogye monastic teaching center and Haeinsa in Gaya monastic teaching center to produce talents contributing to the study of vinaya pitaka and to the observance of the code of conducts and precept.
